Power to the People: final report launched (27 Feb 2006)

Lords Debate the POWER Report

The House of Lords debated the POWER Report for four and a half hours on 15 June 2006.   The debate ranged from the congratulatory to the critical and featured statements of support from Lord Shutt of Greetland (Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust Director and Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust Trustee) and Lord Smith of Clifton (Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust Director), as well as from Baroness Helena Kennedy, the POWER Commission’s Chair.
